The Hot Summer of '64

In the works at this time are the installations of two civil rights monuments in the Plaza De La Constitucion here in The City of St. Augustine. It is hoped, that while racial prejudice still exists in this nation, St. Augustine can become a model of healing.Martin Luther King wrote in A Letter From A Birmingham Jail,

"Never again can we afford to live with the narrow, provincial "outside agitator" idea. Anyone who lives inside the United States can never be considered an outsider anywhere within its bounds."

Note: The film clip flows better if you skip the current sheriff's irrelevant four minute speech at the beginning.
