Thomas Paine - Forgotten Patriot

Thomas Paine 1737 - 1809

The existence of Thomas Paine was as important to our Freedoms as Adams . Jefferson and Washington.

Paine quotes

"A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong gives it a superficial appearance of being right."
"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice."
"But such is the irresistable nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants is the liberty of appearing."

"My country is the world, and my religion is to do good."
"The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection. "
