  1. Pensacola honors the artists whereas St. Augustine punishes. What's up with you folks?

  2. Couldn't we have had a local artist do this? The Tristan de Luna sculpture is from one of our local artists - Pensacola resident

  5. Hey Karl! Another sad reason i DID leave St. Aug. Although i still love to visit - they do not seem to support local artists and crafters... only gallery owners. I have seen Quigley's work and it's very good, sad to read they have undercover folk doing this - another sign of "control". I hope he sleeps well. Keep up the good work.

  7. what was he arrested for this time? I heard he was a convicted felon? Why would the city of pensacola want him to represent their city? He is a good artist but there are others with more integrity.

The posting indicated why Dean was arrested.Read it again.

You probably hear a lot of things.Try finding out facts for yourself.

Pensacola awarded this commission because of Dean's talent and passion.

Your definition of integrity may conflict with others.

  9. The City of St.Augustine has made seven law abiding citizen/artists criminals for exercising their proven constitutional right. They will go to trial on March 30th.They will be found guilty.this forces us to go through an expensive and time consuming processof appeal.County judges know who pays for their campaigns.

  12. expensive appeal?

isn't your attorney representing you and ten other "artists" each time he shows up for five minutes? How much does that cost split six ways? isn't he doing this as pro bono?

didn't y'all lose your last appeal?

  13. To the last "Anonymous" poster...pay attention! We get tired of repeating ourselves! The entire "artist debacle" is posted on this blog... how about reading it!

  14. Anonymous re: Expensive appeal.
Our attorney Tom Cushman has continually worked for us "pro bono" We certainly do not ask Mr.Cushman to absorb the costs of appeal that the courts require.Suvo paid these expenses.

As plaintifs in the upcoming Federal lawsuit we again need to provide the courts with fees to cover a number of administrative expenses. The Federal case IS NOT pro bono and Tom Cushman as co- counsel is only one of the attorneys.
