This may be a stupid question, but I saw the foot note "In memory of Dan Briggs Street artist" and I hope it does not mean he died. I have known him for 20 years, so I am interested to know.My email is mammabecki@yahoo.com.
Thank you Karl for answering my question. I am so sorry. Dan did some paintings for me throughout the years, and he painted the name of my business on my van. On Sept. 11th, 2001 he painted my garage door with the American flag and the words GOD BLESS AMERICA. He was a sweetheart and a good friend. May he rest in peace., Becki
Dan is one of my closest friends, still is in my mind...and he and Ardie were standing next to me where i did my show, in front of the Columbia Restaurant. We watched a woman that made Dolly Parton look like a school-girl walk by holding a tiny dog and after she walked up the street a bit, Dan said, "did you see that cute little dog?" and without hesitation, 92 year old Ardie says, "What dog?"...cracked us both up:)
I miss 'em both...I learned a great deal from them both. Dan and I spent a lot of time together...lol...he did a profile sketch of me, looked a little like Geo. Washington and he labeled it "Scary."
