Public Art - Big Apple Style

New Yorkers can do it up big ! The world's largest public art project is now complete. ( OK, we'll give you the Pyramids ) Artist Olafur Eliasson designed a huge constant waterfall on the East River underneath a buttress of the Brooklyn Bridge.

We think that it looks remarkable. That said......we are always perplexed when communities always bring up fountains as an art project. How many defunct water pumps sit idle in communities across the country? Fountain maintenance is one of the first things scrapped during fiscal tightening.
